I am currently an assistant professor at the Department of Government and Public Administration, University of Macau. I received my Ph.D. degree from the Department of Political Science, Texas A&M University, worked as an assistant professor at The Education University of Hong Kong, and was a postdoctoral research fellow at the Columbia-Harvard China and the World Program.
My research and teaching interests include comparative and international political economy, historical international relations, historical political economy, and quantitative methods, with a regional focus of East Asia. My publications appear in Journal of Conflict Resolution, Review of International Organizations, Political Science Research and Methods, Explorations in Economic History, among others.
